In the modern days we are so busy in achieving mile stones in our life that we are not able to maintain good health. Due to irregular schedule and relying on instant food many of us are suffering from obesity which becomes a route cause for many other diseases. Now if you are planning to lose weight know that do not lose patience and try to lose weight gradually because losing weight fast well make you weak as you will lose muscle and water instead of fat. The other thing that I will suggest you is to not go for a diet. Dieting means starving yourself where you do not get enough nutrition required by your body. Therefore, here are some useful tips to lose and maintain your weight in a healthier manner.
Prepare yourself:
Losing weight in a healthier way requires more time and effort and in this long journey you have to deal with its challenges too. Therefore, before starting, prepare your mind and body that no matter what happens you are not going to lose hope. For a good start know how many calories you are going to require daily. The need of calories depends on age, size and your activity level. In addition to this decide upon your upcoming day’s meal this will help you restrain from munching on unhealthy food.
Meal Distribution:
Starving yourself can help you in the starting days of your weight loss journey, but in long run it is not worthy. The less you eat the fewer calories your body burns. To lose weight you need to take a specific number of calories to make your digestive system work proper. Take sufficient amount of food, it is ideal to take small portions of your food after every 4-5 hours. The reason behind it is that eating smaller portion does not put burden on your digestive system to work hard and the food gets completely digested because if food is not digested properly it turns into Fat.
Go From Heavier to Lighter:
People usually drop breakfast due to shortage of time in the morning however breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Breakfast provides your body with the essential nutrient that is required by your body to kick start your metabolism and to stay active till lunch time. Taking appropriate heavy breakfast in the morning also keeps you full till lunch time and restrains you from munching on junk food. In addition to this it is recommended to take heavier meal in the morning and lighter meal as the day passes because in the day time your metabolism is on its peak after the rest of whole night and you have whole day to burn those calories. But at night you do not have enough time to burn the calories you take in.
Distribution of Nutrients:
As we have discussed prior that keeping eyes on calories is important, similarly dividing those calories in nutrients is also important. There are three main nutrients no matter what these nutrients are part of your diet Carbohydrates, protein and fats. The 45% of our diet must be composed of carbohydrates because it fuels up our body to carry daily routine chores in addition to this it is only source of energy for our brain and red cells. 20% of the calories must be composed of fat and 35% protein. Because protein plays important role in boosting metabolism other than this it helps in building lean muscles. The more lean muscles you have the more weight you will lose.
Do not Drink Calories:
Many people opt for fruit juice or smoothies in their weight loss journey. Although these items are healthier than commercially available preserved food items but these fruit juices and fruit smoothies can be used to make your weight loss journey exciting and flavorful but taking calories in form of drink does not make you feel full and at many times you end up on munching more calories. In addition to this our body is mainly composed of water almost 75 percent of the body. Drink maximum amount of water you can or at least 8-10 glass of water daily. Water is your best friend in weight loss journey it helps to flush out toxins from your body. In addition to this water makes you feel full and your thirst is not mistaken by your appetite. Moreover you can use drinks that can aid you in losing weight like detox water, oolong tea or green tea. They have antioxidant properties and flavonoids that boost your metabolism.
Exercise:
No matter how much you try to keep control on your diet you have to keep yourself moving in order to lose weight. If you cannot do high intensity workout, shred those extra pounds just by walking.
