People start doing yoga when they have a lot of spare time and to make their bodies more healthy and flexible. Since it is a class rather than individual effort, you tend to meet new people and make friends. You work out your body for a limited number of times each day, and you open your muscles. You feel better after each class. The effects of this are the same such as being distracted from everyday life and having a goal in your blackened life.
Do not go overboard and workout too much as you may find yourself trying to quit and stay home again. Your efforts will go to waste then.

- Gardening or Other Outdoor Exercises
It is not always necessary to exert stress on your body to cure depression. Sometimes minimal outdoor tasks can make you feel better. If you have a yard, then try gardening. Plant some seeds and watch them grow. Take care of them, and when they blossom, you will feel successful about all your efforts. These exercises will add purpose to life and a feeling of accomplishment. Also, you might raise some beautiful flowers or even food such as coriander or tomatoes.
Other activities can take part in sports such as soccer, badminton, tennis or even squash. It’s always better to join clubs if you want to sports. The results are similar to the other mentioned exercises.

Dancing may seem like a ridiculous idea at first, but dancing is proved to be one of the best ways to cure depression. There are many joyous and exciting songs out their just waiting for you to listen and learn steps too. Your friends would be impressed, and it is also exercising as you need a lot of energy to carry this out. You do not wish to be an amateur and be made fun of by your friends.
Self-instructed classes are good but signing up for real dance lessons is more awarding. You learn proper steps of dances such and tango, salsa and many other ways of dancing. You do not need to go on a professional level either. Maybe doing a couple of dances would help you meet new people and make friends; also you may get to meet your fated person as well which would be an ideal situation. Use this opportunity to find aims and worth in your life and your depression would be a thing of the past then.
